"You change your mind like a girl changes clothes"

Ever since I've had tons of downtime at work,  my brain has begun to wander and I've began to want so many different things. However, each of these wants only last about 4 days before I move onto a new one. I also wish there was a way for the thoughts in my brain to just pop onto this paper so that I don't have to slow them down long enough to type it out. I'd blog a lot more often if that was so. Any of you who know me very well know that I'm shy on the outside, but humorous on the inside. I wish y'all could see into my thought process just for a day.

So here's the list of things I have wanted so badly over the last month or so - a new car, a house, to be a forever family to an orphan, to be debt free, to have tons of money in my bank accounts, to be transferred back to Jacksonville, to be crafty and or frugal,  and a new job that pays at least $36,000. Most of these wants go hand in hand in one way or another, its just a matter of acquiring the right want first. Either that or some patience. Hahaha.
For example - I currently want a job that pays $36,000 so that I will be able to afford the baby that I want. I want the transfer to Jacksonville, so I can buy that house for Parris, Cora, Alpha, the child that I want and myself.
But a few of the wants contradict each other - like the car and being debt free. That's why I have decided to bite the bullet and drive my car until it dies. It's a ticking time bomb considering she will hit 200,000 miles this month for sure, but I've decided we're going to endure the remainder of her time together. I realize this may cost me more in the long run, but I'm hoping to have that new job by the time she dies.
I familiarized my self with the 7 Dave Ramsey goals recently and am proud to say I've done 2 of them within a month! And as a result, my credit score is just 2 point away from being considered excellent. JUST TWO POINTS! So that's why being debt free currently trumps the new car fever.
These are only a few of my daily thoughts, but what the majority of them revolve around and I needed to get them out of my brain and into writing. It would have been a lot easier and sooner if they could have transported themselves onto this, but unfortunately that's impossible. So until next time, my brain we be steadily thinking of things such as these.

Yesterday was a great day for my wallet! I took a trip to the Summit to meet some friends, but before they got there I decided to stop by Victorias Secret, not yet sure what I would spend my secret reward card on. After deciding to purhase a $48 bra, I headed to the register. After taxes they were asking for $58.60. I hope you dont think I was about to pay that! I handed over a $10 off $50 coupon first, then $15 off the bra, then my $10 reward card. So in the end, I paid $18.60 for the bra! I couldnt have been more excited! Next , I headed to Belk where I almost got a $130 Michael Kors blazer for $20. Unfortunately, it had been misplaced on the clearance rack (even though it wasnt the only one). I was extreemly bummed, but had no choice but to leave it behind. Then I met my friends at Claifornia Pizza Kitchen for dinner. I was able to redeem a free appetizer coupon there. Afterwards we all wanted to get ice cream at yogurt mountain. Once again, I redeemed a coupon there. I was able to fill my 16 oz. cup with as much as it would hold with the price capped at $4! It seemed like a great idea, but even with help, I didnt finish all of it. But of course, ice cream was a good end to a great night filled with great deals and great friends!

CVS 6/10/12

Today was a great day at CVS! I received a $10 off $30 Gillette purchase, among about 10 or so coupons that printed out from the "magic coupon machine". This was perfect seeing as I have been out of razors for about a month and refuse to pay full retail. This was a sure sign that it's time to stock up again! So I proceeded throughout the store and picked up Venus Spa Breeze razor pack and the matching refills at $11.79 and $16.99 respectively. I also picked up an Olay body wash priced at $6.99. Here's the breakdown of what happened at the register. My initial total was $38.98. I wasn't about to pay that price, so here comes the coupons! I used the $10 off $30 first. Then a "buy a refill get the razor free". Next a coupon for "free Olay body wash with a venus razor purchase". Each of these came for the P&G insert from June 3. I also used a $5 off venus razor and refill found in a previous P&G. At this point my total was approximately $5. I was prepared to use another $3 worth of coupons, but at this point the register would not allow me to. My subtotal was $1.99 and the remainder of my total was tax. So I used a 75 cents Extra care buck and surrendered $4.46 for my items. I was hoping and planning for free, but taxes are inevitable I guess. Still the savings here are phenomenal and I couldn't be happier to have nice razors back in my stockpile. As I was walking out of the store I decided to scan my mothers CVS card and what do you know, she received a $10 off $30 Gillette purchase as well! You better believe I'll be heading back tomorrow for the same great deal.

Free Victorias Secret Gift Cards

I hope everyone is enjoying their formal shirts! I'm enjoying mine plus the $50 in Victorias Secret gift cards I earned off of them! Thanks to price matching, I got comfort color tees for 16.25 each, when they originally wanted 20.50 for them. So thank you to Xi Boutique, for offering the shirts at such a great price, and thank you Prographics for matching it and sending me such a nice reward for finding a lower price than yours!

Cora

This is Cora! She is my huge, hyper, beautiful, and most importantly lovable dog. I volunteered to watch her for a week last October, and absolutely fell in love with her. It's a good thing the person I was keeping her for didn't come back for her, because I wouldn't have given her up :)

Cannon Powershot

I've been lusting over this camera all night. Can someone please just buy it for me, before Friday?
